\nLulu is a video drama based on Frank Wedekind’s play in Micha\u0142 Borczuch’s adaptation.
\nWhat are the limits of the role? At what point is the gap create? – these were the questions that Wollny asked herself while observing, through the eye of the camera, the part practice by Lulu. In this the experiment, which is an attempt to deconstruct the theatre, the roles have multiplied and merged one another. As a character from Wedekind’s drama Lulu takes on different parts – of a young Lolitae, of a polite wife and of a femme fatale. This chameleon is played by Marta Ojrzy\u0144ska. Looking at Lulu the viever can reflect on the social roles assigned to women. Only after going through all the layers and mediation, you can ask about the moment of abandoning the role, about the state of „being natural”, when looking at the face of true Lulu, of true Ojrzynska, of real women? The actress was placed in the position to speak on her own behalf, to expose the craft of acting, and, in some way, to challenge it.
